Men’s Health at HPW:
Our goal is to improve men’s health outcomes, relationships, and engagement to prevent violence in our communities.
We do this by:
- to increase help-seeking and positive health behaviors
- nurturing healthy masculinity
- building allyship and solidarity among men to preventing sexual violence
Men’s Health Programs
Man Box is a monthly outreach activity that aims to spur conversations about healthy and unhealthy masculinity. We also provide free information about resources available on and off campus.
Men's Health Workshops:
Attend an Open Workshop: Health Promotion & Wellness offers a variety of open workshops each semester. Feel free to drop-in to any workshop.
Request a Workshop: Health Promotion & Wellness provides free workshops to the SF State Community. Please submit a request at least three weeks in advance of the date requested.
What does it mean to be a man in today's society? Explore and learn ways to adopt a healthy form of masculinity to better our health & relationships.
Learn how consent, power, healthy relationships, and collective action influence how we can change culture to prevent campus sexual violence. Plus, get information about campus resources and how to support survivors.
Learn how you can better support friends and loved ones who have survived violence by using interpersonal and communication skills in a trauma-informed way. Join us in fostering a culture of care.

Meet new friends while bettering your health and relationships! Step Outside the Box and join us online as we talk about alternative ways of self-care!
Hang out with us as we build a community that embraces health and happiness while improving the well-being of yourself and your peers in this new space for men by men!
